In the preface he explains how the book is structured: define HFT, trade types, and how they relate; archetypes 4 traders and how HFT fits in; trade strategies; debate is it good or bad.  There are six chapters- Busted, Trade 101, Trade Strategy, Achieve Speed, Under Hood, HFT Debate. Overall, I believe he subtly supports HFT(despite no outright comment in support)- through colloquialisms (jig, smack-down), word-frequency (when laying out both sides of debate), and consistent argument put forth at beg/end of book- that this is natural evolution of system.

- colorful early frontier days counterfeiter joke: the jig/catching on -- can you break $18; sure want 2 $9 or 3 $6 

- to really understand this, 1. need to make flashcards of glossary/terms 2. work-book of strategies (ie how AutoHedger effect \delta \rho )

- get fast -- but not faster than a computer (mean-trade-time 0.5sec ~2005☺)
