That is the only real American terrorist I know of. Nothing compares to the authenticity of Acie Kirby. I would never try to be like him, but I understand the local protection and power Acie Kirby sought from the King of the Osage Hills.

The only fictional trope that matches is Dr. Breen somehow hiring Dr. Freeman to attack certain portions of Xen. Dr. Breen is always the King of the Osage Hills in his own way. The Xen natives make it too ugly compared to the real ones.

The Osage Hills and Xen are both Maldekian stories. The former is all we presently get on planet Earth.

The problem is we do not know who came up with the idea of putting the Xen Crystal into the Anti-Mass Spectrometer, as truly explosive phononic-material. We can assign that intent and motive to Dr. Freeman because he was the only recent graduate managing the test. Acie Kirby is more clear cut given that he made all the explosives himself. How far does Dr. Freeman match Acie Kirby as a terrorist here?

The Xen Crystal isn't the bomb, because the Anti-Mass Spectrometer will tear apart anything and create new spatial dimensions with just a Moon rock. Gordon Freeman caused the world to be saturated in the disease of Xen only by his own hands, just as Acie Kirby made his explosives by hand.

And they decide to create hazardous, diseased portals with it across Earth, while ruining its entire water supply. But only Dr. Freeman hit the switch when he delivered the payload to phononic fire, such fire provided only by the Anti-Mass Spectrometer. Gordon Freeman is as guilty as Acie Kirby of terrorism, with all motive and intent. He used fire against humanity, with his weapon of choice. Acie Kirby is more clear cut.
