I am going to make up a conspiracy for you:

A king wakes up from feudal times and discovers one encrypted message upon his lands. He then begins to steal and plunder all the copper, silver and gold until those encrypted messages cannot be made anymore.

If you steal all the precious metals and lock them away, there is no more cryptography.

The king then requires his face on every metal coin made from that hoard. It never changes. It is all armed force. Eventually people stop stealing messages, and they just steal the drives and circuits.

Retuning, I know the Director of National Intelligence is a useless position. There is a character in Judge Dredd that sips tea behind hidden doors. That is the actual intelligence director always. He gets to hear the guns fire behind an armored wall. And clean up the mess as well. There is no such thing as turnover in true command or intelligence. You don't turnover power and secrets.

When an agency position is filled with former House Representatives, it is a dead desk. Now, when a Senator resigns for the position, the country is about to change.

If the Constitution only allowed former Senators to run and head agencies, this would be a different nation. For now, we have vanity titles and dusty desks.

I just want it clear that I think most agencies have no power. They are not real organs of government unless they connect to the State Department and Senate. Formerly, pork barrel was enough for anyone. But pork barrel cannot feed a nation this powerful any longer. An agency cannot just sell pork and claim to serve the American people. It has to feed the world.

Bane is literally Christ protected by God. At least in the Dark Knight. I don't know how Christ got into that character that way. That is my Book of Christ so far: Dark Knight's Bane combined with Emmanuel Goldstein. Bane at the Gotham stock exchange is literally Christ begging for food.
