This text is quotation of another post. I have cut the personal infos and other sensitive details and translated but you can reach the full post on that link. The summary of the post is the x government threatening the Discord to shut it down and telling them if they share some datas of users the government will let the Discord live.
-----------------------
First of all, I must say that it is highly risky to disclose my experiences. However, due to the constant lies and intimidation I have faced throughout my employment, I feel compelled to write this for my own safety. If anything happens to me, Discord's illegal activities are responsible.
I started working as a data analyst in a company located in a plaza in Levent, which I later found out was owned by individuals of Caucasian origin, after a few months of joining. A close acquaintance of mine, who works in a classified intelligence building called Kale in Ankara, had found me this job. I was unaware that almost everyone who started working in the building had some sort of connection or relative working there, and that the company had not posted any job advertisements anywhere. Although the excessive emphasis on secrecy during the interview process and the requirement to sign numerous documents regarding data security and confidentiality initially scared me, I chose to overlook these details as I had been searching for a job for a long time and needed the money.
After starting the job, I had the opportunity to meet my colleagues, who also started around the same time as me. What caught my attention initially was that none of us, including myself, had ever used Discord before. Even more interestingly, during the job interview, there was a specific question openly asking each candidate whether they use Discord or not, categorized under the headline of our usage tendencies on social media applications.
Whoever was behind these actions clearly wanted us to have the least personal interest in the work we were doing. We were explicitly instructed not to disclose our occupation in the IT sector to anyone, including our families.
Initially, our superiors gave veiled warnings about the confidentiality of the work, but as time went on and we started asking more questions, they resorted to direct threats. Their biggest leverage was the upcoming announcement of Discord's Turkish office simultaneously worldwide, which we were told to keep hidden for now as part of a major advertising campaign strategy. They warned us that if even one of us accidentally revealed anything, we would be held liable for all the advertising losses through compensation. We continued this way for months.
We found many of the strange situations perplexing, but the management somehow explained and convinced us. However, what we could never fully understand was why our main focus seemed to be on Discord users involved in illegal activities. Although I found it strange that so much effort was put into this, I focused on my job and didn't show much interest.
But one day, the Privacy & Security updates sent to us by Discord Netherlands Bv. revealed our true path.
Initially, I was able to access users' direct message boxes, friend lists, and even the records of their data packets. Later on, I could even access their voice recordings and screen captures.
While trying to adapt to these new conditions in my job, undercover operatives with concealed identities started appearing in our office building over time. These operatives would bring the real ID numbers of individuals they suspected of engaging in illegal activities on Discord every week, collect the data belonging to these individuals from us, and file it. They were generally people who didn't talk much, appeared cold and serious, and clearly had received extensive training.
These mysterious individuals performed their duties by preparing documents resembling official records. I don't know in what form they prepared them since the documents went directly to the information technology department for processing, but I heard that they were prepared in the guise of a prosecutor's report.
While I would like to write down every detail, I don't want this text to lose its focus.
As we gathered records over time, we were horrified by what we learned and, as our trust grew, we discovered the true face behind the word "Advertisement" that was always presented to us.
The truth is, Turkey not only targeted and threatened to ban the Discord application by labeling it as a "terror communication tool" similar to "ByLock," but it also took a much harsher stance than when it announced the ban on the GitHub platform. The company even contacted Discord officials to threaten them with banning the application in Turkey.
In order to preserve its three and a half million subscribers, Discord chose to sit at the negotiation table with Turkey and agreed to provide the data of every account that spoke Turkish to Turkey in exchange for not being banned in our country.
However, Discord wanted to keep this agreement hidden from its users, perhaps due to image concerns or to find a refuge from potential legal responsibilities. To avoid being directly accountable, Discord set a prerequisite that it could transfer the data to a shell company under Turkey's control, rather than to a country with legislative and judicial bodies and law enforcement agencies with questionable positions regarding freedoms and human rights.
But if we had the identity information, why weren't the police or these individuals taking action and only storing the data? Although we had reached a point where we were confident in working for the government, from an outsider's perspective, we appeared completely disconnected from the official image. We constantly questioned ourselves, unable to understand what the officials would do, and anxiously waited.
Occasionally, we heard about some individuals being arrested, but their subsequent release created a sense of hopelessness among people. As we read through the data packets, we witnessed how those released individuals actually acted as informants in the virtual community.
For instance, there was this unpleasant person who stuck in my mind... Even during the times when he was just an ordinary user, he became known for various perversions and went as far as publicly masturbating in an "Omegle" conversation. This person, named "Tantunici Hasan Usta," besides all his perverse acts, was involved in "certain" relationships with the ex-boyfriends of his sister A., who was later sexually assaulted, in order to conceal them. He was acting as an informant for the İ... Police. This disgusting person had more than three hundred accounts, and some of the real IDs associated with his Discord accounts are as follows: [List the real IDs here].
There are many examples of individuals acting as informants, believe me. Nearly 4 out of 1 of the total figure work as police informants. Some of the ones that stick in my mind are Edlow, Cato, Narkoz, Dodo, and Typer. As time passed, we, who discovered that we had a different purpose, would take a look at the collected data whenever we had the opportunity and make copies of this data whenever possible. It soon became apparent that the individuals the official authorities were trying to identify were actually extremely dangerous people. These individuals, who collected the government's data, were involved in such horrific and heinous acts that I was horrified as I read each line. Due to what I saw and experienced, I feel like I'm in a movie, and I don't feel safe.
These data packets, which were requested from us in the form of official records, were filled with credit card scammers, perpetrators or facilitators of child abuse, and blackmailers who used identity information obtained through MERNIS data to threaten victims' families with exposing their nude photos or conversations. The government's field personnel were the ones who brought us the real ID and usernames, which were to be documented in official records.
While I usually didn't have the opportunity to know much about them, our security guard brother and the cleaning staff have witnessed several times the heated arguments that escalated into loud arguments. Due to these incidents, we got to know one of them more closely compared to the others. According to some of my friends, this officer at the center of the conflicts had a more irritable temperament but acted with a great sense of duty. Although I couldn't fully grasp the nature of the events, I overheard him discussing the individuals involved, saying things like, "They are just kids. You can't sacrifice them for political concerns," or in another meeting, shouting about someone, "Worthless rapist pedophile scum." Of course, both I and the civilian staff were curious about his position and the reasons behind his temper.
Amidst all this confusion and increasing fear, as I wondered about what my company actually did and who it served, one day during a coffee break, a female colleague who worked in the same department told me that this officer used to be a friendly person but changed after an incident she learned about on a Discord server. When I asked her how she found out, she explained that the managers also communicated with each other through Discord and, just like what we did to users, they also extracted and examined data packets from managers.
From the subtext of these conversations, it was evident that the irritability of this officer, whom we referred to as "23" due to the large font size on his duty card, was linked to a disgusting rape incident that took place on Discord.
After hearing the details of this incident, including some ugly details, I began to respect the persistence of this officer who had embraced the task assigned to him
In social media, as you are aware, Jahrein has shown tremendous effort in taking legal action against individuals who harass and ruin the lives of others, particularly those who have committed offenses like harassment and defamation in the past. His success in these lawsuits has served as a guiding light for Turkish youth, showing them that they can stand up for their rights in the face of bullying on these platforms. On the other hand, Charmquell, who has recently gained attention through videos addressing this issue, has also passionately joined the fight. These individuals, such as Xountex, Ahmet Atilla, Deha Tuzcu, and Edlow Babapro, and the data and files associated with them, reveal the magnitude and severity of the crimes they have committed. Initially, understanding the purpose behind our work seemed complex to me, but eventually, it became clear like the hidden part of an iceberg.
I would like to disclose some parts of the information with careful consideration. Firstly, it is important to understand the underlying reasons for the dirty politics that prevented the government from intervening as soon as they received this data. Secondly, I have concerns about jeopardizing the lives of diligent and responsible state officials, particularly 23 and others, who have been involved in this matter and are engaged in a struggle that they don't fully comprehend, as evidenced by their statement "to feed into political concerns." I believe that 23 and a few of their colleagues have become aware of this situation, which is why they intentionally started sending me files with deliberate damage, just about a month before I wrote this article. However, I know that 23 and the other four colleagues have access to the identity information of at least 95% of all illegal individuals involved in Discord and have the evidence to eliminate them.[some data]
The tasks of these individuals were to access Turkey-based Discord servers, gather general data and personal information through those servers, and track the individuals involved in these malicious activities while collecting data packets.
As for 23, also known as P....S, the agent in question, although I initially couldn't decipher their behavior, I realized that their intention was to enter this realm by first taking ownership of thousands of member servers and becoming a public figure to gather data. Later on, I witnessed with my own eyes their personal pursuit of revenge in the face of a rape case, but I also saw their concern about the exploitation of children and young people for political purposes.
Lastly, after seeing these documents, I realized that we must not remain silent for the exposure of this structure devoid of goodwill, filled with evil. I couldn't bear the consequences of all these events anymore, and I felt the need to write about them. It is essential for the entire social media community to be aware of all these matters.
To demonstrate my seriousness, I will provide the mixed nicknames and names of some accounts involved in these activities. These are just a small portion of the nickname and name list I have. Depending on the situation, I may be able to disclose more or even make the entire dataset available.
